First of all, please read this article.
Hajime Yamazaki says women’s privilege is making life difficult for “weak old men”.(Japanese)
In the past, women were not treated well, so preferential treatment was necessary. In the past, women were disadvantaged, and preferential treatment was necessary. In addition, companies offered generous welfare benefits, and women could maintain their lives as housewives.
Today, however, women are advancing in society and working together is becoming more common. Furthermore, when the bubble economy burst, corporate pay scales changed and most of the benefits disappeared, resulting in a drop in income. This was unavoidable and had to be accepted regardless of gender.
Having said that, I must admit that I think there is too much favoritism towards women these days. As I said, I am not against giving preferential treatment to solve disadvantageous situations or to eliminate gender inequality. It’s just that the reality of middle-aged and older men being trapped in a situation and an environment that can only be squeezed out of them has weakened today’s “old man” and made it harder for him to live.
Women-only cars, women’s parties, free services for women in shared seating, low rates for women in marriage activities, and so on, there are so many things to mention. For middle-aged and older men, this is a situation of increasing burden and decreasing benefit. It’s time to think about what true sexual equality really means. I commend Hajime Yamazaki, who appeared in the article, for saying it so well.
This is not a matter of “thinking” or “feeling” in a naïve and naïve way. It is not too much to assert, but rather too little to say. This is “the fact”, “the reality” and “the truth”. It’s not a matter of good or bad, it’s nothing more than a golden rule that can’t be described in any other way and has absolutely no room for doubt.
